Fair-Witness Lite app for iPhone and iPad

In 1961, Robert Heinlein, wrote the science fiction standard, "Stranger in a Strange Land" In that book he introduces the concept of a Fair Witness. Fair Witnesses according to Heinlein, are those who are rigorously trained to observe, remember, and report without prejudice, distortion, lapses in memory, or personal involvement. We realize that it is not realistic for humans to possess such characteristics. This Fair Witness iOS app was built with Heinlein in mind and attempts to approach technologically his belief in such a Witness, at least when taking a photo on your favorite iOS device.

Fair Witness Lite delivers the ability to bind the who-what and for the first time, the when of digital photographs to the fingertips of any mobile device user. Fair Witness Lite uses WetStone Technologies’ Sovereign Time infrastructure to provide trusted, auditable and verifiable time and bind it to any picture taken from an iPhone or iPad camera. This provides absolute proof of not only when the photograph was taken, but also that it has not been altered in any way since the time of its creation.
